Chris Rigg

Just for context though, we have just beaten two moderate second tier teams. The step up is quite significant. Based upon this division, you could argue Clarke should be capped. But it’s not this division where caps are earned.

Let’s just enjoy a nice couple of wins without going daft!
i doubt Clarke will make better than mid table prem ( as much as i love the kid and hope he does get capped one day , even in a friendly ) , but Riggy and Jobe are special . Nowt to do with results , there for anyone with eyes ..and sense

Like I say, it’s very early days for that. If both Jobe and Rigg are genuinely special, with Neil a potential future international as you suggest, and Clarke a mid table top flight player, then we go up this season. As that’s what that level of player does in this division.

I've never seen a 17 year old have so much movement in both feet (I don't just mean passing, if you don't know what I mean, quick and magic feet where he can sort not only the ball but his whole body out in one quick movement) for years. He's going to the top with or without us.

they do if the defence holds up and they have a converter up front .

In terms of outfield players, he looks the player with most genuine ability to come through since Bridges.

Let’s hope you’re right

Rigg has loads of quality.

I do think that we shouldn't expect him to be playing 90 minutes every single week though. It might be hard to make those decisions, as maybe it was with Bellingham last season, but you can't be flogging teenagers either.

Common sense my friend… hope it prevails
He's our best CM like. Simple as that. He still won't be a regular starter for some reason but there we are. At times down the right I saw shades of Hume, Roberts and Amad in Hume, Roberts and Rigg today. They passed to each other very well.

I thought that at one stage.
Best Robert’s has played since Amad was here

I'd be inclined to agree with that. We've had players come through who have gone on to win Premier League, Champions Leauge titles, play for England dozens of times but Bridges was probably the last one I can remember who was so naturally talented and made a proper, good career.

Not sure about anyone else but the standing ovation he got sent a shiver through my body.

The lad is different class, he can see things that other players wouldn’t even think about, let’s enjoy him while we can.

He's class like, Imagine what he'll be like when he bulks up, he'll be like a rock, 😎

For a lad of his age to be this good…

Would hope we can get promoted with him and keep him. At very least (being cynical here) we get a big fee for him when he does go. Well done to the academy staff who’ve brought him through.
