they didnt get it debt free. thats dsimply not true, its somehting the previous owner put out there that was a lie.
And as for very cheap, businesses that lose money for a decade. will see their revenue fall constantly for years to come, has £20m of debt when they take over, and a big slice of revenue promised away is worth close to zero. Quinny paid less for the club when it was in a higher division.

Nonsense

What has Quinn got to do with it? That was over a decade ago

quinn paid less money, when the club was in ahigher division, with the same or less debt than the new owners had when they took over. Quinn took a salary as chairman, a very large one, while stewrat doesnt. Quinny loaded the club with debt andf put little of his own in, got the club for fuck all, and made three or four times his money.
So what you think the current owners are doing, is what he did. So if you think Quinny was a successful owner, then the model works and you should hope thats what our owners do, if ytou think quinn was unsuccessful, then you should take solace that our onwers have,m so far, done it differently.

I am not sure if you have noticed mate but clubs and footballers are worth a lot more than they were 10 years ago

what the fuck are you talking about?

Can you please stop replying to me like 3 or 4 times a posts, its doing my head in

I agree. Completely pathetic that people are genuinely complaining about £15 for a competitive SAFC fixture.

The club are being punished for pricing the previous fixtures so low.

I half expected higher than £15 to be honest

Seems pretty obvious to me that the price has been set to discourage as many casual fans/troublemakers (on both sides) as possible to minimise bother. How many mags are going to want to pay £15 to watch their U21s?

How do you know its longer if you dont know who they are?

The longer time spent supporting a club doesnt make an opinion more valid

He has stated in previous posts when he started following the club.

And I think more experienced Sunderland supporters wouldn’t consider this Checkatrade under 21 farce as a proper derby in all honesty. So whilst I agree with you generally, on this occasion I think it possibly does

Which part of increased steward and policing costs didn't you understand?

Do you genuinely believe that this price increase has solely been made to cover those extra costs? Particularly given what our owners have said about maximising income previously?

It makes financial sense to do it. I get that. I just don’t think it’s particularly fair or just

Youve a nerve asking people to stop replying, youve challenged everyone in this thread.
Youve made your point with your 500 per cent how many times.
Your moaning has become boring.
Take your negative agenda elsewhere.
As said just dont go.

Looking at the number of police (none, as far as I could see), and stewards (very few) on Tuesday, the staffing and police requirements for the Newcastle game will be a large number of multiples of that, particularly as they've asked for an allocation which is nearly twice that for the last League Derby. Given that the policing cost for the Middlesbrough game last year was £55k, with this being a midweek game which is inherently harder to police if there's a high risk of trouble, I could see costs just for policing running into six figures. They'll have costed the tickets on the basis of what they think the minimum attendance will be. Clearly, if the attendance is higher than that they could make some money. But I don't think for one minute it's an attempt to milk the fans.

Its £15 FFS

The club is a business not a charity, the club has costs to cover hence charging the extra.

If it had been hiked to £35 I could understand but £15 is reasonable to go and watch us play the filth (under 21's or not) in a cup that we have a really good chance of winning.

I hope its rammed, I hope the atmosphere is toxic, I hope there is a real sense of a Derby atmosphere.

I cant f***ing wait to be honest. FTM

That's just a stupid idea and you know it.

Sunderland AFC is a business, you don't turn a profit (or in our case reduce losses) by turning away revenue.
No it isn't. It's impossible to gauge the interest in this game, many fans don't see the competition as a serious one. SD is having to open the full stadium at a potential loss. The police will take the piss with their costs. Nobody wants 5000 mags to turn up. Loads of fans are moaning about having to pay more money to cover the above and to watch another teams kids. My suggestion solves all these worries.

Will I be able to pick a seat in the South or East Stand tomorrow?

People complaining about 15 bar are f***ing melts like

Do you actually want everything for nowt like? Spoiled brats.

Same people complaining are probably the same whoppers who moaned at the owners for 'not spending any money'
