Aye some of that was hyperbole from the press, but there was a period of about 18 months where he was amongst the best in the league for his position. Rumours abound that he was going to Man Utd, or Chelsea for £20m+.
 
Not intending anything other than food for thought, but it seems these training and game tragedies seem to affect 25-30 year old black lads. Its sinister as it shows no symptoms on an ECG or any blood test.
 
f***ing hell. Is it me or does it always seem to be African players that die in such a fashion? Terrible news...

It's always Africans now for some reason. Seems to be a high % of them with undiagnosed heart defects.

Terrible news. I can imagine he was one of those frustrating players for the Mags as he was pretty damn good when he first joined but seemed to lose interest in the last season or two. Far too young, very sad to hear.
