Wouldn't bother me. Absolutely no morality in football these days, you have men who've cheated on their girlfriends, killed people in car accidents, committed assaults, racist slurs, drugs etc etc. Not right but that's just the way it is. It's so popular that morality loses relevance.

I don't want Ched Evans because on the whole, he's not that good of a footballer.
 
Well it's actually Don's club and if he is going to sign someone for his club, I for one won't condemn him for who he signs. If people feel strongly about signings, don't go, I personally am only interested in what is on the 120 yards x 75 yards of grass.

They initially concluded he hadn't done enough to assume he had consent.

I'm not aware of what happened or what new evidence was provided in the retrial and how he got off, maybe he had done more, maybe they just threw more money at it and found some technicalities - I've no idea. But his actions that night in both the lead up to sleeping with her and leaving the hotel were pretty poor and as we saw with the campaign afterwards and the things coming out of the Evans camp and centering on the girl when she shouldn't have been named, this is one we really should stay clear of. We just don't need the baggage or the negativity it brings.

As far as I recall it was found that she'd pulled exactly the same stunt on one, or more, occasions.

I'm trying to look at it from a football point of view. He could be a very capable player for us. However after the last few years a divided fan base could end up being damaging.

Not to mention getting his mates to video it through the window and then scarpering through the fire exit to avoid detection. Showed no remorse, and was happy to bag his father in laws money to get him off - despite the infidelity.

He has been released, do no crime has been proven, but he is certainly morally reprehensible. I think it would be a real shame if, after trying to get rid of the bad eggs, we end up with someone so divisive.

Absolutely. I know of many of the people who worked the first trial and there was a general feeling that it was an absolutely nailed on conviction. It appears that the lass’ subsequent actions and a fair bit of legal manoeuvring got Evans off. I have absolutely no doubt at all that he’s f***ing scum though. He isn’t innocent. The second trial found that they weren’t able to convict on the evidence. The two things are completely different. I do not want Ched Evans at this club in ANY circumstance.
