Bothered? Much?

This is pretty much all I have heard since we went down to league one from the mags at work, 'the groups are regionalised so our U21's will be playing the Makems. How embarrassing for them'.

Unlucky lads, its not happening :)

Wounded.........

Think it’s daft that the Police are interfering with football competitions. Sets a dangerous precedent.

They don't stop the reserves playing or the youth games so why stop this if it happened?. Its not a high profile game is it really its our U23s for gods sake

It's stupid I agree but maybe they think it would turn out to be a full blown derby match given that it will probably be a couple of year or so until we play each other again....properly ?? nee idea

I actually agree mate for what its worth. The police are there to 'police' events, not to dictate what 'events' take place.

They are public servants paid by the public. Its not their role to dictate what events can and can't occur, it's their job to try and keep people safe at events that do occur.

I lived in Heysham until I was 14, which is around four miles from Morecambe. I was a Morecambe season ticket holder for three years, as I played for the school boys and got them free.

We played them a few years ago in the league cup, but I couldn't go due to a lack of holidays at work!

I don't have many loyalty points, so hopefully they're not like hot cakes and I can get a couple of tickets. I always dreamed of seeing Sunderland play at the old Christie Park.

The reality is that they have saved the mags U21's from a proper battering. They are never any good at that level. Its us who should be bothered as it could have been a lot of fun.

The reality is they've just probably prevented your biggest gate of the season and biggest gate receipts you'd get all year

The Don must be seething

People may think it is small time but I like to think it is part of this great 'rehabilitation' everyone seems to think. Relegation and then getting our new owners and manager a part of this rebuilding. Getting over the last 10 years of mismanagement and starting from scratch. New slate.
