Liverpool had an allocation of 22000 in 1992, we only had 18000.
 

We often have the most supporters there and haven't won since 1973.
That support wins games is a myth. In fact it seldom even helps us.

The game is along the road for them. Travel, match tickets, hotel (possibly), scran and a few scoops is not cheap. Especially so so soon after the Wembley game a few weeks ago.

I once took on 6 of the Bastards single-handed after being cornered whilst going to buy a curry for the bus home.
 
Too many people on here obsessed with attendances, whether at home or away.
Whoever is there tomorrow will be there because they want to be. Let's just celebrate that

The "empty seats" thing started at Reading about 10/11 years ago when there were loads of empty seats. from that game onwards, it has just become part of the chant, regardless of whether there are any empty seats or not. The only good thing about it is that it winds so many on here (and elsewhere) up.
