Every owner and manager for years now has mentioned the culture of negativity that holds our club back.. What has been the one constant in that time?

The last year has opened my eyes to a rather insidious element of our support like. It’s a minority buts it’s quite sizeable.

These people don’t deserve to have a well run, financially secure club with open and transparent owners. We could do without these “fans”.

Absolutely. The comparison between a hop across London and a near 300 mile trip 6 weeks after the other one and after selling out just about every away game was poor.

We can't do without them at all. For one we need their income and two; in large gatherings of people there will be some you don't agree with/may not like. Some may feel that way about yourself.

I’ll honestly be surprised if the moaning fuckers have put a penny into the club, if they do attend matches they’re probably the ones grumbling if someone misplaces a pass and getting on the players backs.

I’d rather have 30k there giving encouragement than 40k there that includes 10k whingeing and moaning their way through 90 minutes.

The owners wouldn't though. As I say, there's plenty there I probably don't particularly care for but I can't say they don't deserve a well-run club. They've as much right to be there as me or anyone else.

He mentioned we were quiet at Wembley. I’m not disputing or complaining about that. I can’t see many on the thread

There is an element of our support that is extremely negative and it doesn’t take much for them to walk away.

Our hardcore support though, are f***ing brilliant. It should never be forgotten that when everything looked fucked, 16000 of us still renewed season cards.

In your opinion!! Perhaps he was angry because they had potential investors present at Wembley, and they had been bragging how brilliant we are, and it turned out we were quiet as mice and thr investors walked away.. Loads of opinions, but doesn't mean that one particular one is right..

Great post ...been following the lads for 56 years and the way he said what he did made me really not like the bloke...tin hat on but I'm Safc daft ..not sure he is?

Our fans have broken the average league attendance record, broken the single game record, took 75k to Wembley covering 1200 miles in less than 2 month, took 8k to Blackpool, have sold so many away tickets clubs have had to move their own St holders to fit us in, and nearly every clubs highest attendance this season is when we have visited but a potential new owner, who could make millions by buying us, who came to Wembley, has changed their mind because we didn't sing enough?

Exactly how I feel mate. 40 years a supporter. 30+ as a season ticket holder. My wife and kids now season ticket holders. I certainly don't go to keep Charlie happy. He should apologise in my opinion or at least attempt to justify his pathetic comments. I'd love to know what Stewart Donald thinks. If my business partner came out with that after all the good and hard work I'd be furious.

The guys a slimeball, Donald will have had him figured out years ago. If you're a millionaire though I'd imagine he's a fairly useful guy to keep around though.
