The bloke is pissed off, frustrated, angry that he and the club haven't achieved what he/they wanted, probably like most of us and is sounding off, again a bit like most of us.......difference is in his role he should have probably kept the bit about the fans to himself.

If only we had a team anywhere near as good as that one.

This ^

I walked out in 98 gutted but I knew for a fact we had the makings of a superb team for the following season. We were just unlucky on the day.

The difference this time is we don’t have the makings of a decent team, they have been shit for months and we got what we deserved.

I think Charlie's put his foot in it big style with this one.
Time for a diplomatic retreat/retraction/clarification?

He’s to blame not the fans simple

If the occasional comments in Private Eye are to be believed, he hasn't got the longest of tempers, and has a tendency to lash out verbally when he's angry.

And this again.
Although I do think we were unlucky in the timing of the goal.
its not as if Charlton had battered us in the second half.

Agreed, but you just knew they were capable of it. We could have played until now and not scored.

Not his finest hour then? I haven't read or listened to the article. I'm okay with him giving a bit of stick to fans under certain circumstances such as violence or graffiti in the bogs or something.

The fans have supported the club this season immensely. That can't be forgotten. The club have fucked up not the fans.

All well and good, him being pissed off. Difference is, he has an actual standing to make us better and is blaming (conceivable) those that don't.

I actually thought we looked more like scoring than them in the last 10 minutes. At that stage, their only tactic seemed to be to try to lump it over the back 4 to try to play Taylor in.

I think you are right but as a PR bloke he should know his audience in this was even more pissed off and angry than he is. Without trying hes created a PR disaster which he may struggle to come back from.

Every time the daft c.unt has set us a challenge we have blew it out of the water yet he decides to throw the favt that charlton had more fans there than us on a weeks notice

Would charlton have brought 40000 to SJP on a weeks notice if the game was up here. We already know the answer.

Blokes a dickhead. He can get fucked

 parasites out of context.
Charlton did have more fans. Can't believe anyone could get upset about that!
He's got nowt to do with Jr, and the majority of fans want jr to stay anyway.
He's increased our attendances.
Anyway bud. I'm not going to change your mind.
Up to now he's been great for us. 46k in league one!
Have a re read of the als interviews he gave.
We will have to agree to disagree!

I couldn't give a shit how many Charlton fans were there it's seems methven did tho.

It's about who is at the game, not who isn't. After all they can't make a difference

We have different views ,but , anyone who can't see thru methven is a bit slow
