Thats the spirit, if that interview puts you off, you are already looking for excuses to be put off.

So do you genuinely believe there was nothing whatsoever unreasonable about having a dig at the amount of tickets we sold when it had no relevance to the question asked whatsoever? On the back of averaging 32k in the third tier this season and on the back of selling Wembley out less than two months previous? Especially when our fan base is from one of the poorest socio-economic regions of the country, 300m away from the capital where the fixture was taking place?

I’m old enough to never expect anything in life or SAFC,but when I sit down stare outside and think I did expect better this season and most of all after the first game thought we will go up even after watching Ozturk and Loovens. This season for me has been probably the biggest let down and ask Who bought the five centre backs ? Why was Honeyman made captain, why does he even get a game ? What did he see in Sterling Morgan Dunne Power Grigg Wyke etc to think they can play ?Why did we constantly drop off and try to defend a lead after scoring first ?? That’s it I can’t be bothered with any more to say at this time .

Spot on, also the fact we can all see we severely lack any pace and get bullied by teams. How we didn't address this at least a little is baffling

Maybe the atmosphere at Wembley was flat as a fart because they had to endure our players try to bore Charlton into a 1-0 win after we were gifted a goal. Or that we started with 3 defensive midfielders. Or that the substitutes were dire and uninspired.

Errr you're not taking anything in. We've fucked up numerous 1 nil leads this season. Fans simply aren't confident and expect at least an equaliser. Why haven't we learnt our lesson on the pitch? We had one decent effort then fuck all. Shit boring negative tactics.
It's happened many times before and will continue to happen under Ross imo

Some of the most boring football we’ve seen in the worst division we’ve played in.

That is the top and bottom of it.

We are not the problem, at times we are part of the problem, its been the same for years but people are in denial. Support is not just about turning up in big numbers. If those big numbers create a negative atmosphere which ours often can then its not great support no matter how many rock up.

We haven't abused players tho. Quite the opposite actually.
Very strange

Unfortunately very true.

I backed the manager during the season and was behind the team however now is the time to look into what went wrong. We simply didn't try and press on in games and look for that 2nd goal. Lessons weren't learnt and we turned into a dull lifeless side.

Aye and you're still missing the f***ing point

No mate, you are, you are proving the point. When a club is struggling, everybody in that club needs to take a long hard look at themselves and wonder why.

As fans we like to tell the owners, management and players to do this but fuck me lets never do any self reflection and wonder if we could have been better as fans.

Some people do, the guys who organised the flags realise there is a problem and want to improve it, others suggest ways of improving it while many just continue to stick their heads in the sand and blame everyone else.

It was the shape. He put that shape with 3 holding midfielders in to get a 0-0 against Pompey and it worked. Power has played that role as the advanced midfielder a few times and cant do it. He sent a team out that could not create chances and that is why I felt so flat before the team came out and Im sure there were others like me. My heart literally sank when i saw the team.

Its one thing to fail but another to fail without going for it. It was a thoroughly depressing team he sent out.

We literally got worse when power went off and Morgan went on

I couldn’t disagree more, no idea who you would have played like

No you said there was a chicken and egg thing then blame the fans. Really think about it.

Which is exactly what he is saying.....He accepted they have failed, the management has failed and we didnt get promoted.......Are you planning on doing any self reflection and wondering if as fans we could have done anything different or are you just going to blame everyone else?

Wembley was an awful day. Atmosphere was flat but the performance was abject. Again. Should the fans have been more buoyant regardless of how the team was playing? Possibly. But it felt like ground hog day.

Hang on

I did and said the owners should do that aand you called me a thick twat

What a total hypocrite you are. Basically anything is fair game apart from questioning the 2 blokes who have been here less than a year

Just plain weird

So the fans can be criticized but not Charlie?

His judgement of the game was spot on. But a blind man on a galloping horse would get that judgement right of Sunday.

His response to the question about a club of our size being in this division was worse than tactless; and he’s meant to be a PR expert. He said supporters need to get real and then started making comparison with us and Charlton on the day which were never asked about. I’ve said it before on this thread, he was the one who was banging on about club size and saying we were bigger than Newcastle etc at the start of the season, yet when this club size was mentioned he got instantly defensive and turned it into something about the support base. It was piss poor, unwarranted and completely irrelevant

Agreed. And if he wants us to be "realistic" then aye, we are too big to be in this shit league. We had internationals, numerous players who had won promotion from this league previously, players who have never before had to be in this shit league, we broke the transfer record for the division, I believe (happy to be corrected if wrong) we spent more than all the other sides combined. It's embarrassing missing out to a side who just finished second in league two and who you have to go through Doris's f***ing garden to get into the ground. Missing out this season is a failure, as he admits himself. There's no excuses now that they've said money coming in from transfers will be about equal to money going out, we've still got a parachute payment to come. Sorry like, but if being realistic means accepting playing tedious, dull shit at home to Fleetwood town and not expecting to be in the top 40 clubs in the country then put me down as unrealistic. Get us promoted with ease next season or the fans really will give him something to moan about

The exact same rinse and repeat scenario played out in the final. Anyone with the drive, motivation and skills to change that would have done so. He talked of second chances etc pre match and did precisely nothing. The manager is not up to this job, get rid.

I rarely say anything too much against the club. But this is poor. The reason fans don’t go is because they’ve had enough. Everyone has a breaking point and fuck me I've been close to mine this week as we probably all have.

Ultimately we had the 10th highest home attendance figures in the country. I don’t think there is a single club out there that could do that whilst playing in the third tier. If you don’t think that’s up to much Charlie boy you best take your money and fuck of now.
