I'm not entirely convinced by hawk eye when it comes to spin tbh, it has made some strange decisions, the worst when an overpitched delivery hits the pad first so hawk eye just assumes it goes straight on.

Seemed to hit when it was inline with leg stump yet doesn't seem to carry on sliding down

That's actually in the laws, if the batsman is hit in the full. The presumption is that the ball continues on its current course.
