It was a nothing shot in end. Catching practice. Not sure if it was arrogance or not. But the matches so far have shown you need to dig in and hit around 110 120 SR with a bit of grit and steel. Not flashy on drives for cameras hoping you have hit the gap.

We are so resistant to adapting from trying to smack every ball out of the park, it borders on arrogance and stupidity.
 
Said it last year. Some players don't seem able to realise there is a big difference between T20 and 50 over cricket. Need a good partnership from these two.

Its mental that we've tried to play ODI cricket like a T20 for best part of 2 years.

When our test team plays test matches like an ODI.

Aussies won the World Cup because they pretty much played their test batting lineup. Head just did what he does for the test team in games.

Set it up for Buttler to play it like T20 in the last 20 overs like we always did under Morgan pre 2020!!!!

Yeah Buttler needs to be there at 40 overs with some wickets in hand to allow him to let go.

Yeah we go to hard, on this road can see why Salt might have went for it in the power play with wickets in hand, more disappointing in Smith as he better than that.

The scoring rate fine need to build now still bags and bags of time left in this match.

I hope that fact the wicket soo bloody good doesn’t mean they go to hard.

Would be horrendous if don’t bat the 50 overs.

Duckett is so good man. Just wish he would convert scores more often. So many times he ends up 60 off 57, which is obviously still a good contribution but definitely has the ability to go big more than he currently does.
