Man City's two European finals will have been watched by a grand total of less than 25,000 in the stadiums.
You sent me scurrying off to google to look up the 1970 Final. Amazing that the crowd was so low but it was a different Europe then.

Less than 8,000 turned up for the Cup Winners Cup final. Two? What happened in the early 70s?
So fuck. Fans should be more important than money. I know they aren’t though.
Indeed x 2Not Like UEFA to stick 2 fingers up at British fans in favour of VIPs etc
This. It was a non starterApparently the UK wouldn't allow people in - VIPs, Sponsors, Film Crews etc.
Where was it? Gornik Zabre iirc was the opposition.Less than 8,000 turned up for the Cup Winners Cup final.
45,000 at the final of the same competition in Greece the following year when Chelsea won it.You sent me scurrying off to google to look up the 1970 Final. Amazing that the crowd was so low but it was a different Europe then.
Vienna.Where was it? Gornik Zabre iirc was the opposition.
It obviously meant nothing to them.45,000 at the final of the same competition in Greece the following year when Chelsea won it.
Vienna.
or tea. They’re not going to go. Maybe. Dinnar.
Weird reference to televised FA cup final having a detrimental affect on attendance. And ECWC final not being televised. Would have thought the former would not have mattered to a Man City fan. And the latter would have only encouraged them to attend the finalCity had about 4000 fans in the stadium gornik only a handful because they had to apply for visas, the weather was horrific, the game wasn't televised either because the Chelsea v Leeds Cup final replay was on both itv and bbc1 the same night.Dont seem to have much luck in European Cup finals.Hope they win their fans and team deserve it.
Its almost as if member states of the EU can actually run their own affairs while still being full members. Who knew eh...........Portugal isn't refusing entry to non-essential visitors from outside The E.U.. That is a proposal from The E.U. and a typical cut off their noses to spite their faces one at that. Portugal are desperate to have holidaymakers from G.B. or any other country deemed safe, so another potential disagreement between member states is likely to occur.
Only right. If they’re that keen they can get here 10 days early and self isolate like the rest of us working plebs have had to do since March last year. FuckemApparently the UK wouldn't allow people in - VIPs, Sponsors, Film Crews etc.
This means nothing to me.Vienna.
Have you seen how Górnik Zabrze got to the Final? I just have and Górnik Zabrze played a 2 leg Semi against Roma, drawing 1-1 away in the 1st leg. In the home leg they were losing 1-0 until a 90th minute equaliser put the game into extra time. They scored again soon after in the 93rd minute but Roma equalised to make it 2-2. However away goals didn't count in any way so Roma were denied and it went to another replay in Strasbourg in France. This ended 1-1 after normal time and after ET it was still 1-1 so the match was decided on a coin toss which Górnik Zabrze won!Where was it? Gornik Zabre iirc was the opposition.
I've got a good idea - a breakaway euro super league would surely finish uefa off?UEFA should be disbanded......corrupt to the core.
Deserve it?City had about 4000 fans in the stadium gornik only a handful because they had to apply for visas, the weather was horrific, the game wasn't televised either because the Chelsea v Leeds Cup final replay was on both itv and bbc1 the same night.Dont seem to have much luck in European Cup finals.Hope they win their fans and team deserve it.
Couldn't give a toss really, just delighted it isn't at Wembley. The EFL really are the most pathetic organisation going, can't believe they were just going to roll over and shift all the play off games to accommodate the CL final.
