Definitely their best player. Big hundred against Notts.Ed Barnard is a good cricketer
Close:
Durham 339-3 (96 overs)
Borthwick 80*
Bedingham 69*
Current partnership is worth 117.
Run rate is 3.53, if we maintain that tomorrow we’ll be on 390 at the bonus point cut off, so not much of an increase required to get maximum batting points.
Gonna be disappointing if it's another batting road and both teams get 500/6 dec.Close:

An excellent day, pretty much as perfect a day as you could hope for after winning the toss and opting to bat. Every batsman has contributed, a couple of lads out of form have made big scores and Sean Dickson has passed 600 runs for the season.
Hopefully we can come back tomorrow and push on beyond 500 and put them completely out of the game.

Suspect there's going to be a big onus on Trevaskis to take wickets.
Down Worcester at the game. Local’s claiming the wicket is a road easy runs to be had. Some of their bowlers have been getting bounce and carry so we shall see. They’ve also bowled some dross so they weren’t impressive.
Great to see Badger in the runs. His batting when scoring his first 50 runs was top notch. Hopefully he can kick on tomorrow, get a big ton and get the monkey off his back.
Without Googling it, can you name a former British PM who has played first class cricket? We laugh but there is a reasonable chance a future Prime Minister will be playing.
Encouraging comments from David Hoops at the gameRegarding the wicket I hope Ned is not standing up to the wicket to our opening bowlers with the new ball like the Worcester keeper was with Leach.
The wickets maybe flat this dry spring but there is a fair few county trundlers being found out who think they can just fart it out at 70 mph and expect the wicket to make them look unplayable.
Going to be a lot of tired bowlers having to play 4 day games which actually go 4 days by the end of round 7.

" Two weeks ago, they (Worcestershire) racked up 491 against Sussex and went on to win by an innings. The moisture content of this pitch is reportedly identical, as is the grass cut. And heavy cloud cover is forecast for late on the second afternoon, about the time Worcestershire can expect to be batting"
I'd have come down for a few days if didn't have mates visiting. The ground looks lovely, hope to make it next year. Any top tips for a trip?
