I disagree, Howay is a Newcastle version, have never seen Hawway written in this way, for me the correct version is Ha’way, not a life changing problem, but there you go.Acceptable spelling is Howay or Hawway not Haway
Hopefully Bas will be available -Netherlands 1st warm up game isn't until 30th August
Working in Newcastle Newcastle folk were adamant that the wierd Howay version is the right one. Just goes to show how easy it is for them to be wrong.I disagree, Howay is a Newcastle version, have never seen Hawway written in this way, for me the correct version is Ha’way, not a life changing problem, but there you go.
Why has he set off now if the first game isn't until next year?!
We've been fortunate for our red ball home games. Even had two games (Glam & Sussex) where the sun shone throughout. The weather has been absolute garbage for the majority of the summer in terms of a ‘summery feel’. Oddly enough we’ve probably done better than most from a getting the game played perspective.
Meant September obviously. Why has he set off now if the first game isn't until next year?!
Squad v Worcestershire [19-21 September]
Bas available
David Bedingham, Scott Borthwick*, Jonathan Bushnell, Graham Clark, Paul Coughlin, Bas de Leede, George Drissell, Vishwa Fernando, Michael Jones, Alex Lees, Matt Parkinson, Ben Raine, Ollie Robinson.
We had intended to sign Murphy for the season but he got called up by Australia. Then instead we got Kunhemann, but he got injured. So we had intended to use an overseas spinner and Bedingham as our two for the entire season.Does the ECB need to look at the number of overseas players a club is using throughout the season?
I cant keep track of Durham's let alone the other 17 counties. When I see a lad turning out for Durham I want them to do well but looking at the Sri Lankan we have in the squad, surely the idea of an overseas is to be better than what you have and to be fully invested in the county for a full stint all summer
No he's Co Durham born and bred. It's what sometimes happens when typing on a mobile phone with fat fingers at 7.15pm in the fading light of a September evening. Is OP American?
