Bowled ....
Just scrolled back and had to watch it another two times! IT was nearly Warneresque the amount it turned in! Mind, that Cosgrave's a very big lad! He nearly overbalanced reaching for the shot that he missed completely!

😀 Enjoying the sunshine are we? Looks like Leicestershire have shut up shop trying to see out the last couple of overs .... Ackerman isn't taking any chances
Bit breezy. Wife went at tea, so immediately left the members lounge to sit in usual spot. Tad breezy but anything is better than the members lounge. Not often I hear folk cheer Durham losing wickets at Durham...
143-4 live from the upper tier

Stunning catch to remove Azad!! Handscomb, diving to his left at leg slip off a VICIOUS Carse bouncer :p

Azad c Handscomb b Carse 53 - 143-4.

Brilliant plan, brilliantly executed, BIG wicket in the days penultimate over. PROPER cricket

Wright in as nightwatchman.

Close: 152-4 (50 overs).

Great effort from our bowlers, good captaincy two with field placings and plans to batsmen. After a century opening stand we took 4-43 to keep the pressure ramped up. Still lead by 392, hopefully come back refreshed tomorrow and get into them. Looks to be some rain around over the next day or two according to the forecasters so might need to make them follow-on.

Eckersley called and planned that wicket - just watched it again and moving Handscomb to a leg slip position was genius.

I know it's probably a rhetorical question but being a saddo I checked in the Yearbook, thinking it would be pre 2016, but it was August 2017 when we beat Derbys by 9wkts with Colly getting 177....funnily enough the wicket was pretty central for that match as well.
Thank you for looking that up! I thought it was a longer time ago than 2017.

Weather permitting, the die seems well cast in all the relevant games at the top now. Lancashire seem out of sight, giving Glamorgan a hiding, restricting them to just 4 points, and Gloucester looking good for a 23 point haul too. Crucially, if ours and Northants' games reach their inevitable conclusions, we'll go above them into third by a point, 13 behind Gloucester.. Looks like Middlesex will have a lot of ground to make up, hopefully not against us.

It's going to be a tight finish.

Enjoyable day apart from the bellends on the members balcony. Imagine cheering Durham losing a wicket ffs

I'm not doubting you as you were there and I was in the Co Durham lower and some of the occupants in the members balcony could put their YCCC counterparts to shame with their whingeing and ridiculous attitude. However last evening when I went to the forum with Woody and Handscomb there were Leics members in the balcony and on my way to the ground a Leics lad got chatting to me and he was praising us to the hilt saying how great it was that we were turning things around and sticking two fingers up the to the FTECB.:D

One of the things he said about the Riverside that he loved was that they were allowed access to all areas of the ground including the aforementioned Members Balcony so maybe they were Leics supporters.

Two old blokes regulars as I recognise their faces. Moaning from about 450 onwards saying how we should declare. Kept shouting "how many more runs do you want". Anyway when Eckersley got dropped they were slating the Leicestershire player, then they cheered when Carse got ran out. Never quite seen behaviour like it. Handful of nice people but on the whole the usual regulars are very ignorant and ride. They sit in the corner nearest to the away dressing room. Group of about 10 of them. Sarcastically cheering Trevaskis today was uncalled for as well. They berated Carse and Rushworth for mis-fields as well which both heard

Fair enough.I know the ones you mean and you're spot on about them.

Think we will lose a couple of hours today, can't imagine play starting on time with this rain

We've had light drizzle in CLS for the last hour but it's just stopped. If theres no more it should start on time.

It's a bit chilly outside mind for those intending to go in the Upper Tier.
