Clark dropped from the team that beat Worcs in the last CC game which is hardly surprising.

Would imagine Carse will get the nod over Pottsy.
Suprised Scott Steel hasn't got his opportunity so its between Robson and Cameron Steel as to who will open with Lees but whoever it is there is no doubt they will be at the crease tomorrow morning at 11am .

Aye, forecast is nice but we’ve had 300 gallon of water fallen this last week

Yes no doubt we will bat first. Hopefully we can bat until lunch, or maybe tea? Then Rushy will be unleashed and Leics will be bowled out for about 190. Handscombe will have to take over from Banger and score at least 100. We will then lead by about 300 runs and Rushy and the bowlers will skittle them out. Well thats been the basic script this season.

I'd settle for that script rather than the one they used for the Sussex and Gloucs home games.:D

No point breaking from tradition marra.

For the first time in ages the wicket is pretty much smack bang in the middle.
Quite breezy with a lot of cloud.
Eckersley and Horton just had a long chat out in the middle....needless to say there was no coin tossed.
Steel and Lees opening with Robson in next..here we go.!!

Shaky looking start from Steel. Off the mark with an edge that went at a catchable height between keeper and a fairly wide first slip - he's since closed the gap somewhat.

13-0 (4 overs)

Steel continues to live a charmed life, edging Abbas millimetres short of third slip.

23-0.
Abbas going round the wicket to Lees - who has taken guard on about fifth stump.
We're the last Championship game (that has started) with a wicket to fall - must've been about 100/1 odds that

Robson in and taking a stance way outside leg stump though when the ball is bowled he's pretty much moved to bat on leg stump. One way to get your feet moving I suppose.

Not sure Lees has adjusted, he's scoring just as fast as he did on the last T20!

He’s just a proper batsman, with good technique and footwork - even when you watch him in t20 he bats a similar way. Scoring runs with proper cricket shots.

Good start this though, hopefully we can get to lunch without further loss.
