CC : Durham v Worcestershire

I just don’t get it. We’ve got Lees, Bedingham and Stokes and we’re preparing pitches like this for them to bat on. It beggars belief it really does. Who makes the decision on the wicket? Bostock? Campbell? f***ing brain dead.
Have to agree with this and it seems to be the general view amongst regulars. I think management have got carried away with the Somerset home victory and wanted a similar pitch which in my view Is ridiculous and that's not sour grapes, I posted on here immediately on day 1 that the pitch was an absolute embarrassment. All it's done is make the game more even with the inevitable low scoring game due to such a poor wicket. That is a crazy decision to make given we have Bedingham and Robinson for example and they are on their arse numbers wise and form wise. Ultimately a lot to blame for this and it's an absolute sickener as this was a good opportunity to stay in touch nearer the top.

When I put the stream on day 1 and it looked like they were playing on the outfield I was in shock tbh. Part of me hopes they do get in trouble for it, although I suspect because we’ve lost the game the ECB might think we’ve got what we deserve.

How come these are batting fine today then?

Irrespective of the wicket we have underperformed very badly in both batting and bowling and don’t deserve anything from the game
And has for starting all this short pitched nonsense giving 25 or so free runs away, they want theirs heads examined especially if Stokes was the instigator
It’s really been a coming down to earth performance with a huge bump

I made a point of sitting upstairs first session on Sunday on my own just to look to see if it looked as green as it did and I was embarrassed by it. Conditions better today ironically and the general view is that it's flattened out a little but overall it has back fired massively on us this and I think we've got a bit above ourselves and disrespected/underestimated Worcestershire and it's made us look a bit silly. North/Campbell/Borthwick will have the main say. There was absolutely no need to prepare a low scoring wicket, none whatsoever.

Potts has been disappointing this season not the sake control, movement and just menace he had last year.

One of the few spells was last week v Essex he’s just not looked in rhythm all summer.
