Yes, very clever of Worcs to throw the ball into our court with that declaration.It’s the all important question mate. Truth is, I’ve no idea, because in this world of BenBall all bets are off. Given how flat the pitch has looked for the last 12 months I don’t think 60 overs is enough to take 10 wickets, nor do I think we could get enough runs prior to lunch to give me much confidence that we can avoid giving the game away.
Unless Worcestershire feed us runs in the first hour and we declare with 70-75 overs left I think any declaration we decide to make would be bordering on wreckless.
My worry is that Campbell will fall for the bait and do something reckless.
