CC :: Durham v Warwickshire

VERY harsh on Salisbury. Presuming Thomson cannot play this game, otherwise they may as well let him go back to Warwickshire if Durham are considering using Trevaskis.
Hoping that Carse is fully fit, because I assume Wood will be restricted in his overs.

Showers forecasted for next couple of days ..... ironically having included Trevaskis for reasons of spin variety it might be that the pitch is less suited.

I thought they may have given Rushy a break in this game especially when I saw Carse is back and Wood had been made available. Possibly 4 championship matches going the full four days in four weeks is a lot of cricket and a lot of hard work for what is effectively a 4 man attack. I still wouldn't be surprised if Rushy or Raine got a breather.
Other than that I don't think they will be any changes unless they have a change of direction on playing to capable keepers. That's the only way I cann see Trevaskis getting a game.

without a win on the board i'm not sure we've got the luxury of resting rushy, i'd expect to see coggs & trevaskis miss out unless as you say, they ditch poynter

Live stream link already up and running and it’s on the Club’s home page where it should be!
Easy or what?

I presume he's injured or rotated out as he looked a bit leggy and bowled some filth against Derbyshire.

Poynter and Coggs to miss out for me, although it depends on Carse's fitness.

Good to see sense in the selection of a spinner but with the rain around it could be a case of bolting the stable door.

Funny comment by a Bears fan on one of their message boards
" Going to the Riverside in April is crickets equivalent of a Tuesday night at Stoke in January with local lads Rushworth Raine and Coughlin ready to ambush"

Up and running already... Might give it a bit of a watch after the gym tonight, late night spring watch anyone?

Be hardly a ball bowled next 4 days anyway

I think we’ll get quite a lot of play actually. Every day there’s rain around, but I don’t think it’ll be sustained enough each day to keep the players off the field.

Lovely morning in gods country now, win the toss and bowl

Young
Borthwick
Bedingham

Eckersley
Coughlin
Carse
Trevaskis
Wood
Rushworth

That’s my team, doubt they’ll play it like. Poynter no doubt will have the gloves.
