CC :: Durham v Warwickshire

I'd like to see potts get a nod, can't be long til he features. And hopefully Trevaskis added to the mix to give us more options.

Problem is both carse and Coggers seem suited to short sharp bursts (through both technique and fitness) which leaves us short of bowlers who can bowl long spells, Rushy and raine - Salisbury is really useful as he's one of the few you trust not to break down

I’m very surprised Potts hasn’t featured yet, given he (iirc) opened with Rushy in the friendlies.

Unless the coaching staff didn’t like what they saw?

So how many batting points will we get? At the current scoring rate no more than 2. Will we start pushing on after lunch?

I don’t think they’re bothered. Bags of time left in this game, I think the plan is just to bat Warwickshire out the game. Rather get 16 points for a win than an odd point or two extra for batting.

Not overly fussed at the moment, just got to build a good lead as it's only day 2. I'd happily take a lead of 220-250 after the first innings to be honest and get at them for 2 days.

I wouldn’t marra :o

We’re already 81 ahead, if we lose ten wickets for 140 from here that’ll be one hell of a collapse :o

Warks know that this Durham team have picked up a habit of throwing away everything they've gained in the first half of the match, they'll try and take confidence of that, and no doubt they'll come back as hard as they can in the 2nd innings of both teams. Durham know all that too.

BATTED YOUNGY!!!

100* from 248 balls with 9 fours and a six.

That’s also the 300th First Class century for a Durham batsman.

And that’s Lunch.

Durham 183-0 (80 overs) Lees 81*, Young 100* - lead by 82 runs.

New ball due immediately after Lunch.

That was so unlucky for the fielder. Dragged it back just inside the rope and it rebounds off his boot for four.

New ball right after lunch. That is going to be a tricky spell.

And shame Young has found his form just as he's about to leave.
Is that fat bloke called Bresnan the same Tim Bresnan who played for England? Mind the disappoinment of being dropped from England has gone straight to his waistline!
Lmao. He looks in surprisingly poor nick for a professional athlete at 35. He also seems to have lost whatever bowling pace he had.

Nice piece about Ben Raine.

Rather excellent shepherd's pie with whole roasted fennel side served in the exclusive twisted kitchen members area today.

A real treat, compliments to the chef

Has a team beaten another team over a 2 innings game without losing any wickets
