I’d love it, but I can’t see it. @TheRey can probably shed more light on it but as soon as the England stuff starts he’ll be back in the side.

GERRIN TREV!! Maiden first class 50 from 101 balls with 6 fours.
Borthwick failed a fitness test this morning mate.

Excellent balanced piece by David Hoops as opposed to the rant by Darren Gough.

I’m not sure I agree, 95% of that article was about one man - I thought it was meant to be a review of the day......?

Have to admire the grit and determination from our batsmen today - I think it’s clear that Franklin's message was for the lads to value their wicket. It was very strange watching though, as it seemed like the pitch wasn’t too bad really. Aside from the sort of movement you’d expect from any new ball in the North East in April - I didn’t feel there was much in the way of misbehaviour. Nor do I feel that their bowlers looked particularly threatening throughout the day. Had a lot of similarities with the bizarre nature with which Glamorgan batted against us last year.

What I’m trying to say, is I expect Sussex to go along at more than 3 an over when they bat and I’ll be honest, I expect them to pass our total without too much trouble. I’ve simply got no confidence in Durham at present - but as ever, I’ll be delighted if I’m proved wrong.

No pace in the pitch or through the air, we've seen a million times what going hard at the ball in these conditions does. They grafted and had the benefit when the attack started to tire late on. It's difficult tell as yet as our batting really is sub sub-par, but 250 is normally a decent return first up.

Rushy could have these out for double digits if they try to force it.

This toss thing is utter bollocks mind. Anybody know if their going to see sense?

Were at a massive disadvantage every home game. It hasn't made spinning any better across many of the counties.

Absolutely marra, it was highlighted before the season by players and coaches too at just how shit it is and has contributed to increasingly low scores in the Championship.
