CC : Durham v Nottinghamshire

Throughout the years Notts have always come across as petulant and arsey in the field when things don't go their way, always in the umpires ear.
Few year ago I was in the trapdoor stand and I was heckling them and Fletcher was on the boundary and shouted something.... Ball got changed and immediately went for 4 in front of us.... So I shouted to change the ball, Fletcher turned round and shouted "wanker"

Tidy start this, McKinney looking good !
.. bowlers 19 and 9 bowling to batters 19 and 9 ... doesnt happen often... forget that, spinner's just come on.

An absolutely beautiful boundary by McKinney off the last ball from Stone. Glorious shot
I like the look of McKinney, has all the shots in the book. I hope we give him plenty of opportunities to develop over the next few years.

That cover drive he’s got is a thing of beauty, the first boundary of the day was a touch too short to drive and was a bit aerial and had my heart in my mouth because Hameed was lurking - but he’s smoked about 5/6 since which have been sublime. There was one off Stone where he didn’t even follow through, just dead batted it through the covers. Absolute beautiful timing.

See a lot of similarities with Jennings, maybe it’s just the tall left hander thing, but the touch with which he’s nudged two balls through the vacant fourth slip region as a release shot when everyone else would’ve expected to see him unleash a vicious cut shot have been as impressive as any drive he’s played because the best batsmen are able to change gears at will to suit themselves and keep bowlers and fielders guessing.

If that seems like a pretty thorough analysis on the basis of an hour or so of batting, fair enough, but I’m a badger and it’s the first time I’ve seen him in the flesh properly (since I played against him :p)

I’d be inclined to suggest it’s due to their management - who I never miss a chance to stick the boot into  - but to be fair I’ve not noticed them doing anything else that any other county does to be fair.

He should know better
