CC : Durham v Lancashire

Horrible isn’t it, highlights another problem though with playing cricket at this part of the year - that 5/6 degree difference means it takes a little longer to dry when it does stop.

Forecast to be clear after 09:30 like, hopefully they get it right for once
All forecasts point towards dry in around 90-120 minutes time. I'm tracking it on the net weather android app and it's moving very fast from West to East.

Thank you :)

Having read the cricinfo report, I see that Lancashire haven’t scored a batting bonus point since 1 July - so clearly you’re right when you speak of low confidence.

At 138-6 they probably feared not getting any batting bonus points at all, the partnership at the end atleast makes it look likely they will do, but all that considered I still expected a touch more urgency given they’re 10 points behind Notts. With a draw here and if Essex beat Notts they may gain enough points to climb outside of the relegation zone, but it’ll be more or less a straight two-game shootout from there and one of Notts’ opponents is Kent.

Very true

My only worry is, is it a tricky pitch and holder has let them get more than they should. However, some seem to think batting looked ok

Love watching Durham in the flesh, probs my fav thing to do in life, but it gets testing as you enter September!

I reserve the right to completely change my view on this when we bat, but there didn’t seem to be anything at all yesterday out of the ordinary with the pitch (or through the air).

I think that’s why this new ball this morning is so vital. We need to get through them and get batting.

Looks like we’ll be starting on time, typically I could’ve done with a short twenty minute delay

Yeah new balls been key in these games

We know Raine and Potts will be on the money. No drops please

Must admit Robinson hasn’t been perfect with the gloves this year
