Not that it mattered but Kent declared once reaching 350 to claim a 3rd batting point thus denying Durham 10 overs to claim a 3rd bowling point . Is there some sort of penalty for this scenario happeningAll over for another year.
Presumably the 2 teams agreed.4.20pm being the earliest time for close of play. Not that it mattered but Kent declared once reaching 350 to claim a 3rd batting point thus denying Durham 10 overs to claim a 3rd bowling point . Bowling Bedders and Robinson doesn’t suggest we had an extra bowling point in mind.
But the lack of clinical cricket to the end has meant the bottom side has gained more points from the game. Unimportant at the end of September but it could be important over a seasonPresumably the 2 teams agreed.4.20pm being the earliest time for close of play.

Would love to get Vishwa Fernando back.Campbell's postmatch comment regarding next season's attack interesting. Clearly Hogg, L Robinson and Minto regarded as 1st team. No mention of McAlinden and Killeen infers confirmation that they've gone. Adds that "we'll have a overseas bowler" although whether he meant we already have one signed was unclear .Still think we need one more proven seam bowler.
Cheers,I've enjoyed your comments. But Wagner, who will than be 40 year old, for an intensive 7 4 day games in 8 or so weeks? Not for me.Must admit I've bloody enjoyed this year. Proper feel good factor again after last season. Had some cracking trips to Sedberge, Blackpool and Taunton and done about 95% at home, all good craic and on the whole good cricket. As I keep saying we are a bloody good side. More than happy how we've ended the season and 5th I believe is a fair reflection. We need to improve one day cup which I'm sure we will. Wagner for me is a must in the winter get home signed. Overall very happy and look forward to next season and see how some of the younger players progress. Very excited about Minto, he looks a good lad. Winter well folks.
I think he will be a very good mentor for the younger players. We'll need someone who is going to be available. Be interesting to see what we getCheers,I've enjoyed your comments. But Wagner, who will than be 40 year old, for an intensive 7 4 day games in 8 or so weeks? Not for me.
Agreed. Siddle and Wagner are knocking 40 and an injury liability.Cheers,I've enjoyed your comments. But Wagner, who will than be 40 year old, for an intensive 7 4 day games in 8 or so weeks? Not for me.
Slight change of approach required by North. Instead of recruiting his ex-team mates got to pick their brains for their recommendations of promising mid -twenties candidates.Whoever we get let's hope they don't get crocked after one game
Bedingham has had an unreal season and Ackerman has had a very good season too.....i wonder how he viewed his first season at Durham ?Decent season all round in the championship although that defeat to Worcestershire at the Riverside was poor and probably cost Durham getting into the top 3. To be honest i think the 4 teams that finished above Durham where probably better sides over the season but Durham definitely the best of the rest.
In the t20 blast getting out of the group stage is an achievement giving our previous campaigns although it has to be said the North group was very weak this summer
The biggest plusses for me this season is the emergence of Hogg who although he only played 4 matches he looks a genuine choice to play championship cricket next season especially when the likes of Carse or Potts are away with England.
The player i was a little disappointed with was Parkinson i thought he would have been far more of an attacking wicket taking option in the championship although he proved to be a steady defensive bowler in all forms of the game.
Off the field the communication of information regarding the club continues to be poor. It will be interesting to see when the club offically inform us who has left the club and who has been awarded up graded contracts and rookie contracts. Its all been sorted out.
