Absolutely pathetic. I was going to go down after the match tonight and spend some time there tomorrow. Clearly this wont now be happening.

Its very early days of course but given last seasons events, the lack of home grown talent, everyone leaving; then you cant help but wonder as to what the short term future is for Durham. Its certainly a far cry from the championship winning days. for my money and similar to SAFC I cant help but conjure up the same name over and over again for the demise we are witnessing - David Harker. Ran the club into the ground, got us into a financial mess and everything has followed on from that.

Jon Windows has his work cut out finding and developing the local talent that will get us back to where we should be.

It reminds me of the game v Kent a few years ago just after we had won the title. Stokes was just breaking into the team, we had defeated them at their place the week before in a televised game and Ntini came up here and blitzed us. Game over inside 2 days IIRC.

Depressing. You would expect better from Collingwood and Markram but it's hardly surprising we are getting a pasting with that line-up.
 
Looking at the team it isn't much of a surprise. The batting is minor county standard. Bowling is competitive.
 
I think some are going off th deep end a bit here. Kent got absolutely stuffed in their first match anarl and we've had no preseason other than one day against the students, its almost as if batting practise is important.

And to think they were talking about promotion......this squad is probably the worst ever seen at Durham.......imagine taking Rushy and Colly out of it as well
 
Potts is the only one to come out with any credit from the batting in this game. I have said before he is not a number 10

Hyperbole and nonsense.

And yes you if you took out our best players it would be a poor side. Pretty sure any club if you took out their best players wouldn't be as good mind
