CC :: Durham v Glamorgan

We both said walking away today we've both had a good day because of the weather and health wise first time wife has been able to attend, (2 weeks ago was was in hospital for 4 nights) so it was good for her to see our cricket friends and some live cricket. Everything needing to be said about the cricket had been said but you can't beat good craic at the cricket in this weather, absolutely love it. Even the Glamorgan fans have been good craic.

Spot on mate

Browse the board plenty without posting, but had to say I’m pleased you had a good day Gordon. The best thing about cricket is it’s not all about cricket! I was thinking of coming over tomorrow, asked the Mrs if it’s worth the trip, she said the miners Benedict in wethers is pretty good but apart from that can’t see the point!!

Thanks. Tough few weeks for my wife, so ever so pleased she was up to attending today & she even got to see Stokes. She was a tad gutted not to see Will Smith who is one of her all time fav cricketers and he was ever so good to her back in a day... Apparently he's match referee for this game & was seen round the ground. We've met some amazing people over the years or been members, friends for life and it's always good to see them, especially when the weather is like what it was today. Speaking to Shouter & his Dad always good fun etc and seeing people accepting him is always good to see, always raises a smile. Always the good side to attending the games no matter how good or bad the cricket is, we know so many good people at the games it makes it all worthwhile. As my wife said today.... "We're saving ourselves to go one step further in the one day cup" :lol: :lol:

That’s a great reply Gordon and pleased your wife had a good day, can see how much the cricket means to you and like I say going to the cricket is more than just the cricket, some of my best days away with England have been when it was rained off!!

Well giving today a miss. Will watch the first session on YouTube and keep everything crossed we get an unlikely win. From Costa Wheatley Hill this morning it's very cool & cloudy.

I wouldn't be going today but the departure of Labuschagne gives us a tiny glimmer of hope ...plus I'm on the doorstep.

Was cool and cloudy an hour ago but brightening up now which is a bad sign. Any other season I would have backed us in this position but I can't really see it happening.

Haway The Shouter ringing the bell!:D

Hopefully we can get the win. We'll soon see. Bit too far to travel for what it is today. We desperately need to avoid defeat

Will we see Stokes bowl today? Given the state of the game, I’d fancy our chances with a fit and firing attack of Rushy, Potts, Stokes, Carse and Raine. Unfortunately we’ve only really got Potts, the others are so far a shadow of what they’re capable of.

If we can get two wickets before they get the deficit into double figures, who knows, but I’m not hopeful.

Time for the bowlers to stand up and be counted.
