CC : Derbyshire vs Durham

Cant imagine this concert is successful mind they sent me an email via showfilmfirst offering me free tickets plus a £7 admin fee.
It doesn’t work like that. Durham receive the same fee from the promoter regardless if there’s 20,000 or 20 people.

Obviously for wet and dry sales you want as many in as possible but the only parties profitable is the artist and the venue.

Incidentally the promoter for these two concerts are a break off from a previously shoddy company, I suspect they’ll not be around this time next year.

Thing is if sales are poor, then promoters aren't going to be tempted by the venue in the future. £7 on SeeFilmFirst suggests this has been a hard sell for the club. If Durham recieve the same fee, why are the club pushing sales so desperately? Why would they be arsed?

This particular promoter won’t have a future. They wanted to charge £110 for Rod Stewart, club managed to persuade them to lower it down to £70. Still way too high and they reluctantly did BOGOF last minute.

They’ll be pushing sales because they still have certain marketing commitments within the contract and as previously said they want as many there as possible for food and drink sales and as you alluded to, to make sure it doesn’t become a farcical for the future.

Feel a bit for Bas. As Pretorious may not have been signed had he not been away with Netherlands.

He's looked good in the CC and after his sensational Scotland rout he might have comeback with some fire in the belly.

However it is the right call. As no point changing a winning team, plus Pretorious more experienced and frontline bowler. Whereas Bas more of a batting allrounder.
