Carlisle United

First para: I suppose that's one of the reasons why teams are at that end. I also thought earlier in the season they had enough about them to stay out of it but when the season reaches this point shortcomings show in the table.

.......And you openly admit to being a Poolie  (albeit secretly) you've put your cards on the table now

Harry Smith has been consistently scoring for us since the upward turn of form.
A real handful at this level.
Always enjoy my trips to Carlisle Mate ❤️⚽

Have a good day, if I was able to safely attend matches these days that would be one I'd like to have got myself along to. I seem to think you'll be more content come the final whistle but football is football (which is apparently why we love it ) so there's new hope for Carlisle in the bigger picture either way.

Would gladly buy you a beer (or two).
Quite a few of us meeting up tomorrow, one coming from Preston, Leeds and a couple from Glasgow.
I am meeting a couple on the train from Wolverhampton. They will already be on it from Birmingham New St and coming up from Stroud. Deliverance Country.🤣

I could very seriously have been tempted to come along for the game & have a chat over a beer which is something I haven't been able to do for years. It was ideal timing for me tomorrow because I'm in Cumbria but my current lack of physical capabilities [MS], balance in general & with a crowd pulled the plug on most of the things I used to do playing, training & watching games - not to mention post event beers. I have to be oversensible now because anything can trigger a relapse which puts me back in hospital. And the last thing I'd wish to land on anyone is that all of a sudden my legs don't work again.

Joining a train load of brummies or black country fans that are "on it" -your quote above- sounds great fun but it's a chance I can't take so the nearest I could get is asking Wifie to drop me at Back O' Skidda so I can stumble across to sit on a rock & see a distant Brunton Pk when the game's on.

One day I might get the chance to have a beer with you. If I don't add anything else on here enjoy the game, I'll be keeping an eye on it hoping for an acceptable outcome for both teams (whatever that could be).

What time do you reach Carlisle?

Mate tough to respond to that.
If I was driving and on my own I would have picked you up and dropped you home.
Train gets in at 1pm.
Definitely would be a pleasure to have a beer with you mate anytime.
I was up in the lakes last February with the Mrs (no), Son and Dog. I would have driven over to see you.
If you could make it pm me anytime. You would be made welcome.
Everyone of the lads are decent.

My health situation is one that can't really be responded to by anyone, I accepted it years ago and live within my capabilities. I went out for a walk today, managed about 400 yds in total stumbling along to a nearby Keswick church & back for which I'll pay the price tomorrow :( I can't help myself, I still imagine I can do what I did years ago. While walking I was trying to work out how I could have got to wherever around Carlisle tomorrow for the game, chat & beer but I kept reaching a block.

At some point in my life I'd also love to have a beer with you. One day; because my Wife often comes up with some dog show attendance that could drag me all over so at some conjuncture our paths will conveniently cross. You probably couldn't tolerate my boring patter anyway  Thanks for the offer to join you & the lads.

If you get arrested and kept in custody overnight you're welcome where I'm staying to hang about for a lift home, but there isn't room for a load  Unless they'll walk the dogs obviously.

Always enjoy exchanging conversations with you about footy or the dogs.
Can only hope our paths cross in the future.
If I do get arrested I expect you to meet the ransom or at least offer translation services free of charge.🤣

I also love chatting about the rubbish we chat about, one day our beer-paths WILL cross.

As an aside: Have you not set your away match arrest plan for tomorrow yet? We used to in the early 80s.

I've got no spare money for the ransom, I'm married with dogs. I could do you translation services but if I was involved it would probably get worse for you

Don't be too boozy when you land in Carlisle!
