Can't stop watching Tommy Watson (ROCKETMAN)

There seems to be a bit of media rethoric that it was a last kick of the game winner. There was still a fair few (6/7??) minutes to play after that, and to be honest I can't recall those minutes until the full time whistle (in real time) the game was done...
I remember a Sheff u player trying to pass the ball forward and kicking it straight out of touch - crumbled😂

Ill stop bumping this when i dont have any tears at the end of it!WTF im 64 and i have no words to encompass the shear joy of it!The few minutes of joy ive witnessed in the 50 odd years of following safc cannot better this .i imagine my heart would burst if we actually managed to match the magnificentness of our support with a truly successful side !.one can hope!!!!STID!!!

Every time I watch this, it never fails to put a smile on the face and a tug on the heartstrings, when watching the ball roll in and the glorious, ecstatic eruption of the beautiful Red and White Army, years of pain healed in an instant. Plus a perfect song choice to add to the beautiful, sheer wonder of it all. The glory injected that fire into our souls, restoring our hopes and dreams of being an established top flight team again.
Now, let's fight the good fight, playing effective and beautiful football. 'Sunderland til I die!!' :D:D:D

A Southampton season ticket holder who is a good mate at work said "The 1st goal you scored was a great strike, but not so much the 2nd one" I just started laughing saying "What? He bent it perfectly into the only gap it could have gone. Yes it wasn't hit at 100MPH but how is that not a good strike?"
Send you mate this link and he can watch anther 8 or so just like it.

What a beautiful post man

It won’t ever get better than that, will it?

Feel such weird emotions watching it (for about the same 1000th time), huge happiness but also an understanding that it may well be a long time before we feel something as euphoric as that again?

Or am I just pissed

Was genuinely so shocked when it went in. Looked like it went in slow motion. The ball wasn't hit with a great deal of power but one of the camera angles show how perfectly placed it was.

I've gone through phases watching this goal, from pure emotion to slightly damp eyes with a git massive smile on my face. I've also weaned myself off it, only watching it 2 or 3 times a day but I'm in the karaoke stage. Belting out "I think it's gonna be a long, long time...."
I was on the bog the other day and heard my wife scream from the other side of the house, "F**king Elton John, Again???!!!!"

While I love all 5 goals from the playoffs, I keep coming back to Tommy's most of all.
Knowing the prep that went into it and the split-second timing to hit the shot at the perfect moment - topper.
I think that and NQ's header from Mickey Gray's cross at SJP are my all time favs.
