too much too much thats more than we're getting for lensy ffs. we cant bloody afford it mate. bainsy'll never sanction

Remember how much was being quoted for McGeady? Let's wait and see.

I don't understand why people are opposed to him signing. Good enough for our level, and you need to sign some experienced heads.

Keane didn't sign many young lads, he signed players who could make a difference.

we are in the Championship, of those 259 games you quoted, 177 were Premiership. Whilst it isn't brilliant he has a one in 3.25 games in the Championship, much better than the one in 5.6, derived from your selection. I doubt SAFC reckon he is a £6m player either, but lets believe the Sun

Fair point on his Championship goal to game ratio. I doubt we'd get him for much less than £6m and if we didn't have £110m debt I might not be against it. Our big investment this year is going to be in a striker and we can't afford to make a big loss on the transfer fee. For that reason I think we should be going for a younger striker personally.

Say we get promoted...what then? A squad full of mediocre 30 yr olds in the Prem...what could go wrong?

Sell him to another championship squad you miserable twat. If we get promoted the last thing I give a shit about is paying Cameron Jeromes wages... whinge at anything you lot

Not an out an out goalscorer. He's a bit like Big Vic with a few goals in him. 15 goals for him and the same with Frankie and we might finish near the play off positions. If we can keep Khazri I'd be happy with this front line tbh, especially with Watmore returning sooner rather than later

............Ndong........Cattermole..........
Khazri...................................McGeady
.............Jerome.......Vaughan.............

Sick of this work hard bollocks everyone keeps referring to, we still need quality if the aim is to one day get back up, keep signing players like this and we'll have to buy a whole new squad when we go up which in itself straight away means wholesale changes, big investments etc.

We need to be targetting youth who can develop and play at a higher level, Jerome and Vaughan arent that.

100%ers do not guarantee success and it should be a given attribute when you go to buy a player, If our scouts are singling 'effort' out as a primary attribute to signing players we should just give up now.
It's really all they have to offer in the lower leagues, I agree, they are getting it badly wrong again. We have a lower league manager, sadly that seems to be his level.

like who though ??

I agree with you but who could we get who's younger and better?

Did alright last season and in Norwichs previous promotion season his workrate and play was excellent. It was a massive reason why they went up

I agree to an extent but fill this squad with youngsters alongside some of the fragile experienced players we currently have will be a recipe for disaster. I happen to think this is a project and if we went up straight away, we are back to where we were last season, the season before etc.

Surprised when I looked up his record to see he got 16 and 18 goals in his last two seasons in the championship. If he can do that here he'll be a good addition. If we were promoted I'm sure there'd be plenty of interest in him from this league.
