big strong lad who can hold the ball up ,

Our squad is so thin I wouldn't be against this ,

who else could we get given the mess we are in ?

He's agreed to join. Clubs haggling over fee. Was told last night. He's rejected another "unknown" club who have agreed fee. I presume that club is Forest as per the article.

Feel free to rip this to shreds.
He'd be a good signing. Not a show stopper of a signing but we're building up a number of players who are capable of 10 goals next season. If we can get 70 league goals we'll be in the promotion picture.

We only have 2or 3 that could now and that includes Vaughn which is debatable

Great to see us loading up on players towards the end of their careers with no resale value. The only young ones in are on loan. Part of the reason that we are in such a state financially
It's about striking a balance for me. We need to be bringing young players in/through to sell on for profit, but we need a few experienced professionals who know the league. There's very few examples of clubs that exist and become successful from having a buy to sell policy.

We signed David Connolly when he was just one year younger than Jerome is now. Both have experience in scoring goals to get teams back in the PL.

Our experienced players haven't a clue about the championship unfortunately....

I'm not sure we can throw Cameron Jerome into the same category as Pienaar, Gibson and Lescott. They were signed by Moyes as Moyes didn't have the resources (time/money etc) to go out and strengthen beyond that. Jerome scored 15 goals last season.

Our issue is signing players who are rubbish hence no resale value (Jack Rodwell for instance). He's in his prime and still has no resale value!
