Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

Everton fans seem to think if he goes to us then that’s us relegated .
Injuries seemingly have taken their toll and he’s not been scoring for a few seasons now .
He’s obviously been a talented lad but lost his way .

He's a quality player who has gone through a bad spell. We have done well getting players to perform in the last couple of seasons. I could see us taking a punt on him as we need a striker and premier league experienced ones are hard to come by. He's free and we'd only give him a 1-2 year contract, could see him banging them in next season if we get relegated too.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been backed to complete a surprise move to join Sunderland following the Black Cats’ promotion to the Premier League.
Interesting signing thought other than Pickford looked pretty good player among an average club

I don't see us going for him, given our current "model".

Honestly don't think he'd be a bad signing if it was maybe a 2 year contract (maximum) and just bog standard premier league wages.

Get him fit and firing (may or may not be possible) and he'd walk into our current 11.

He can’t stay fit, he’d be on the injury table most of the season sucking up a massive wage. I’d be absolutely shocked if we were interested he’s the opposite of the model.

Love that from these so called experts....."yeah, if Sunderland say they will double your wages to keep us up".

Bloke was on £100k a week at Everton 🤣
