Callum Doyle

Norwich Fan Perspective:

Callum Doyle has the technical ability to play in the Premier League but is unfortunately just too slow to be effective. He played some superb line-cutting passes all season but often got skinned by Championship wingers for pace, let alone Premier League level wingers. He then moved to CB which was better but unfortunately he would be targeted for pace. Too good technically for the Championship but not enough pace for the Premier League.

He's a real Celtic-type buy.

Harry Maguire is slow but good on the ball but has been effective for both England and United.

Per Mertesacker was slow.

When you have a lack of pace its more about positioning and anticipation..

That game where he lost his heed after the Maguire hattrick for Lincoln.

McGrandles getting stuck right in the ugly bastard. An absolute embarrassment we had to play actual meaningful games against total dogshit like him man.

He was poor for us tbh. Watching him trying to defend a punt from bolton’s goalkeeper in the 6-0 defeat was enough for me (especially after Rotherham where he was equally awful). No idea why anyone would want him back

so why has he gone on to play over 100 games at the top end of the championship and have a bundesliga club bid over 6m for him? he was a 17 year old kid in his first season of professional football ffs

I hate Faes, probably more than any player we've ever had, he's crap with a disgusting attitude but even he was much better than Doyle in the Championship.
Why are there so many f@cking squirrels in Leicester? Can’t you set your foxes onto them.

The last poster called @squirrel was a pain in the arse, devoid of football knowledge, and a bit of a pervert imho.

I hope that you are better than the last one.

I accept the first two completely but a pervert I am not 😆.

 I assume that you’ve forgotten a password, been banned, changed email address etc.
Deleted my account as all the right-wing shite* was getting on my nerves.

*and for once I'm not talking about Jordan Ayew

😂
He's had 3 seasons in the championship after that season. One was a title winning season, one was a play off final defeat and last season was a mid table finish
He's improved and at 21 has played over 150 times..he's doing ok
He is doing ok but no-one is in a rush to keep him. I wish most players well, it's a cruel business, but I've no desire to see him at SOL except for the opposition.

I'm not saying we should get him back but because at 17 he wasn't great at times for us people just write him off. It's fkn mental tbh

It’s crazy that people write a player off at that age . The kid looked a future England captain when he first turned up but like Rigg , Bellingham and virtually every other player of that age , he suffered burn out towards the end of the season .
Very few teenagers are able to perform at optimum level for even a few games never mind a whole season .

According to BBC Gossip, Man City have turned down a bid of £6.5m from Hoffenheim for Callum Doyle.

After his season with us, I thought he looked good. He's had a couple of seasons since on loan at Leicester and Norwich.

Not much Premier League experience, but would you go back for him?

No not got pace we need
