Bus Lanes

Fines for the council coffers is what bus lanes are really for. Buses obviously stop so many times along the route that its not any quicker.

The council? A bus is quicker in rush hour. Maybe not all the tim bit rush hour different.

I think it’s very forward thinking of Sunderland council(not something i’ve ever said before) to have no car lanes rather than bus lanes.I drive a van!

Snap. Sometimes go down them in the car without realising!!

Why are taxis allowed to use them though. Why does a fare paying taxi passenger in a car get priority over everyone else in a car???

Depends where. Durham ones are bus & taxi lanes. Sunderland are no car lanes so a normal 4 seater taxi shouldnt be in a lane in sunderland

Only some, same as motorcyclists. Silly realy as creates confusion for us who can use some but not others. On the other hand it creates revenue for the councils fleecing people who can use a bus lane in one area but not in another.
