Burnley away

Had to laugh at the organisation of that away end today.

Scanners barely working so massive queues.

The row numbers not being on the stairs as normal so people struggling to find their seats. Even the stewards didn’t know where people were meant to be, they kept giving everyone the wrong directions.

Safe standing area needing wristbands, but they were just asking if you were in standing rather than looking at your ticket to prove it like normally happens. And then the stewards not standing on the stairs so the wristbands were totally redundant anyway.

To top it off the steward near me was asking if I was Sunderland or Burnley ffs  absolute shambles
I was in safe standing early and the wristbands turned up later. And don't get me started on the floodlight fiasco

3 lads stood next next me all got in with screenshots of the same ticket.

With the system down the stewards just assumed their manual scanners were glitching and let them in.

The light show and finishing the game with the floodlights off was shite. Poss poor from them all round.

Good day out spoiled by the result.

Heads up lads. Another big game satda

I was in the safe standing bit. We got in our seats at about 2:50pm. I didn't know anything about these wrist bands until I read it on here. The bottle neck getting in and then once one concourse was mental, especially when the bars and bogs are one side. It must quite daunting for older folk and those who's mobility isn't great. I wonder what the reasons are not putting the turnstiles on the back of the stand that leads onto the cricket club. I'm sure with some discussions they could plan and agree something with each other.

My thoughts exactly, f***ing shithole of a place to get in, as you say bottlenecked into a pre ticket check, moving extremely slow, got there about 2:30 as trains were relatively tight for us, to then end up in a painfully long secondary queue to get tickets properly scanned for a bloke the other side of the turnstile to have to manually open it once the person in front had scanned your ticket 🤣
The concourse then was dangerously small, absolutely rammed, almost impossible to get a piss, and access to stairwells for seats further along was a right carry on to navigate through everyone holding pints etc.
Premier league club with non league facilities

Remembering back to January, there were also big issues getting into the ground then.

It was also a right faff getting my small bag into the ground. Appreciate it’s a security issue, but then they didn’t search my body at all, so in theory I could have brought anything into the ground.

I'm still celebrating getting searched for drugs on the way in. Aged 66 but still dodgy!

I see my Black Cat Point gas already been added to my account

I was in GG seat 65 loads of empty seat to our left the same with rows in front as well as rows behind where was everyone.
Still a fantastic showing very loud & passionate for all the game.
