BBC Brobbey should have been sent off v Spurs - panel

He's been fortunate not to be sent off against the Mags at home, Arsenal away and Spurs at home.

Gets harsh treatment by the refs though IIRC.

Most of us sensible fans at the time said he was lucky. He obviously didn’t intend to hurt the lad but if you push someone deliberately and the consequence is severe then you should expect to be punished. Same when they push them into the advertising hoardings. One day someone is gonna end up severely injured after a ‘nudge’ at the right moment

Was lucky not to get a yellow for the push which injured Romero BUT he shouldn’t have been on a yellow to begin with. Defender climbs all over the back of an attacker, attacker shrugs him off, attacker gets booked.

No idea why we have these panels anyway. Has a player ever had a retrospective ban from the outcome of one of these panels?

I'm still baffled how none of the pundits or commentators picked up that he shouldn't have been booked when he won the ball back near the corner as he was prevented from moving away with the ball as he was clearly fouled. A baffling decision at the time that received no attention it seems, they simply agreed he should have been booked for an elbow?

It would have been a fantastic chance for us as well, the defender was beaten.

Kolo Muani dove at least four times so should have been sent off twice. Easy this.
Exactly, you have to look at the game in it's full context. If you've got players playacting and being soft as shite, trying to win fouls instead of playing the game, then there's a risk of not getting one when you probably should.

How many yellows should Spurs have got for simulation? I wonder if the 'panel' has investigated that?

When they played the mags, Spurs had TWO players booked for diving in their own half. Absolutely shameful behaviour. Should be a red card and 1 match ban for simulation, that’ll stop them from trying to con the ref

Is this an official PL panel? Or a bunch of BBC pundits?
Surely they should be reviewing every decision in a season? How the Aussie idiot isn’t topping the table I’ll never know.

From BBC Sport.

Sunderland's Brian Brobbey should have been sent off for two yellow-card offences against Tottenham, a Premier League panel has ruled.

Won’t have to worry about bouncing off the magnificent Brobbey when they’re up against Lincoln away next season the shithouses

I've often said he has been very lucky so far. This now concerns me like because it means Refs will be more inclined to red him in the future. He's probably gonna be become a new easy target to provoke and get sent off.

A 3:2 opinion from the panel proves to me that it doesn't meet the 'clear and obvious' test, apart from anything else. 3:3 if you include the actual ref on the pitch at the time.

You wonder if the 3 ever played football

Yes but the crashing into hoardings is foreseeable in this case at worst the defender tumbles onto the grass 999/1000
