Brian Brobbey throwing their lad down

Guy Mowbray on MOTD just as it's nearing the end of the 1st half said "All the talk of Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to come maybe later in the year. I think Brian Brobbey could give either of them a scrap. He might not win but he'd give it a go" 🤣

Altending and Connor were chatting about it after we beat them, it's notable how little knowledge their lot seem to have about the rest of the league. It's mad that people making a living talking about football online would admit they've never heard of an international, ex Ajax player who'd already played against them once this season.
I remember one of them laughing at the signing of Sadiki. Another one saying “here man, we are looking to buy players who are worth more than your whole team, daft *****” well who’s the daft ***** now?

They spent x3 Sadikis on Woldemote

In my 50 odd years watching the lads, I've never seen a player like him, especially the age he is.

Absolutely outstanding, the recruitment team need the freedom of the city for getting him.

Aye, it's obviously worse because of the outcome but I don't think you can change the rules based on where other people are standing. Like if you tackle someone and they fall into someone's knee, that's shit, but it would never be the difference between a fair tackle.
Yeah. This type of incident happens all the time when defenders are shielding the ball back to the keeper and the striker gives them a slight shove to try and force a mistake and it never leads to anything other than a play on or a foul at worst. Brobbey can't even see the keeper from behind the defender, let alone know how it would work out. It's naughty but not a second yellow.

Tbh I'm not sure his first was even a yellow really. He is still trying to shield the ball when he is pushing the defender away from him. He literally doesn't even raise his elbow before that. It's a completely natural movement in shielding the ball.

All of the above stuff is just part of football and being a physical contest at times. It would be a poorer game without it. If Brobbey had ended up with a red for those two incidents I'd be fuming.
