Brian Brobbey throwing their lad down

Thought the push on Romero into the keeper was a booking mind. But the one for being fouled by Porro was obviously not.
This. If anything Porro should be booked for having his hands all over Brobbey. And he was already booked too lets not forget. How we don't get the freekick there is staggering.

He’s only gave him a slight nudge tbf, not fully pushed him.

I might need to see it back but I thought Romero had it under control and the keeper didn’t need to come out for it. If he stays on his line, he’s not getting bonked on the head and ruining Romero’s World Cup.

I think a nudge at that pace towards someone oncoming is dangerous, especially towards someone who's going to be diving at it.

It's not the end of the world, just Romero's World Cup, but for its dangerous stuff imo there.

I honestly don't get them crying about Brobbey.

Romero is trying to block off Brobbey who shoves him (it's a physical game). Kinsky goes down to get the ball at the same time and it's an unfortunate collision.

There's absolutely no intent to it and that type of challenge happens all the time.

As for the Porro incident, the yellow card (deserved) was for throwing Porro to the ground. The elbow was completely accidental.

Looks worse slowed down, it completely misses the context of them both running full pelt for the same ball. Once Romero puts the breaks on, Brobbey can either use his hands for a bit of cushioning, or run him over like a tank (which given the size of the fucker is a lot more dangerous).

Perhaps you're right, either way, im fuming if that is against us.

100%, but as the commentator mentioned at the time it's no different to the nudge Diarra got when he was through on goal 10 minutes later.

I disagree with that mind, one was easing someone out of the way, the other was easing someone into another going full pelt.

Aye, it's obviously worse because of the outcome but I don't think you can change the rules based on where other people are standing. Like if you tackle someone and they fall into someone's knee, that's shit, but it would never be the difference between a fair tackle and a foul.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer right wing loon 😂

To be fair, I said in the ground after we had 2 or 3 fouls against us that could have been yellows that the ref will book a Spurs player first. Lo and behold.

Re: Big Bri: Brobbey was consistently in physical battles, and that's why 3 or 4(?) of their players were booked for challenges on him. I'm a bit miffed as to how he's came away as the pantomime villain. The "elbow" (it was a shoulder) could have went either way, and I'm surprised the ref didn't give a free-kick to us, but a yellow to the big number 9 for his reaction. The clatter between the defender and goalkeeper is brutal, but what the fuck else is he meant to do? Not challenge Romero for the ball because there's a World Cup this Summer?

I haven't seen it back but the handball when they were through on goal didn't look anything like a handball from my seat anorl.

Ah well.

I think the difference is just intent, i hadnt considered what you had said about stopping himself but im unsure.

Do you remember the Norwich game when one of them put Yedlin into the board, thought it was like that but a bit worse.

I dunno. Either way, im glad he's ours, blokes an absolute menace.

Better memory than me, I'd forgotten Yedlin full stop tbh. 09 into the Portsmouth crowd is the only one I remember but it was fairly soft.
I want to give Brobbey benefit of the doubt cos I don't think he's a nasty player, but whenever commentators say "he's not that sort of player" it pisses me off so I could well be wrong

I cant remember anyones birthday but I remember the Kirchhoff masterclass that day like it was last week.

Lads a pure beast! Not surprisingly, the scummers are now tuned in to saying clubs will be wanting to buy him for next season!! 🤭 It’s the new desperation level they have fallen to and can only muster hoping all our talent gets bought!!! Don’t these fkrs realise our players are here for the rocket ride to greatness the deluded wankers?? 🤭
F. T. Fkn M.
That can’t be right, it’s not long ago that the mags were saying all of our signings were shite bought from second rate clubs.

Altending and Connor were chatting about it after we beat them, it's notable how little knowledge their lot seem to have about the rest of the league. It's mad that people making a living talking about football online would admit they've never heard of an international, ex Ajax player who'd already played against them once this season.
