I presume you're on about parachute payments.
Obviously it's a big advantage, but others have managed to compete (and be promoted) without them.
Brentford, Forest, Luton, Ipswich and yourselves spring to mind.

Not only parachute payments. Our revenues will grow again because of the promotion, even if we are relegated it'll still be higher than the last time we were championship. Without parachute payments, for both clubs to have the same budget, it's a hefty bill for Gibson. With us having parachute payments, in the likely event we go down, the gap would be astronomical and there's nothing Gibson can do about it.
 

To be fair they had decent average attendance of 24000 average last season when one game from play offs -good support
Which is top half surely in Championship?
If Edwards gets it right they will be there /therabouts ?

Some clubs in Prem have less than 24000 average (Boro) and still compete -crowds isn’t everything now ?
Think Edwards will do well-bit under radar like Reggie?

Never understand the thinking of replacing a manager with one playing style for a new manager with a totally different style of play. It's as if the people who hire & fire managers know feck all about the game/
