very short term thinking….Depends on what sort of 'consistency' though surely.
Two wins and two defeats is better than four draws on the bounce.

Seems I was right
Some delusion this.
A few weeks ago the Boro message board wanted him sacked. If Carrick could find any sort of consistency as a manager he'd have them promoted no bother. Problem is he goes on pretty poor runs which ultimately cost him.
I saw people calling for it as well after he looked incredibly stubborn and showed a refusal to change the system when teams have worked them out. They were never going to struggle to score goals all season but it'll be interesting to see what happens next time they play a side who are happy to let them have the ball, maybe grab an early goal and sit in tight and let Boro try to break them down.A few weeks ago the Boro message board wanted him sacked.

Nah, not what I read. Several threads with a lot of posters on each one saying time up for Carrick. The minority
Exactly.The minority
We’re watching two top 8 sides no matter what injuries, sales etc occur imho. Whereabouts in that top 8 both will finish I’ve no idea. However 4th-8th are surely favourite. This thread has turned into you lot reassuring eachother that Boro still aren't very good. Don't worry about it.
I fear our defence may let us down. We concede too many to challenge right at the top of the league I think.
Thing is though ,even if this made up mutiny was true, so what? - you're basically trying to prove some weird point which means nothing.Nah, not what I read. Several threads with a lot of posters on each one saying time up for Carrick.
Exactly.
The vast majority of us realise that as a manager/head coach, Carrick is still learning and there's bound to be ups and downs / learning curves along the way.
The way folk go on on here, you'd think ALL Boro fans were wanting him out, which was simply not true - no where near true.
I'd say most of us were expecting a good go at the play-offs, which in fairness is where we're in touch with .
Contrast this to a very large majority of people on here wanting Beale ran out of town BEFORE he'd even been appointed.
Average championship players? Average championship manager? Yer whistling past the graveyard and know it.I don't.
Average players and manager.
The statement is so untrue it's laughable.Ah, another fortnight or so of the resident Middlesbrough fans telling us how mint they are and how poor we are
Which Boro players are you converting?Average championship players? Average championship manager? Yer whistling past the graveyard and know it.
It’s very odd behavior indeed.Ah, another fortnight or so of the resident Middlesbrough fans telling us how mint they are and how poor we are
I’d respect those views if they were consistently delivered and not when they have won a few games.
I couldn’t think of anything worse than posting on a Middlesbrough forum telling them how class we are. Just couldn’t be arsed
Respectfully, and I think you are great for the work you do with dogs, but I haven’t read your posts on football for a good while until your upturn in form. I think they are packed with thinly veiled digs with the intention of antagonising people. The statement is so untrue it's laughable.
One person's wind up's are not what the rest of us are saying.

[/QUOTE/} well, to be fair Seaham you’re a good poster on here and actually offer something g to the board in reasonable debate. I think we all know the muppets on here to which we refer. Offer nowt except ram the greatness of Boro down our throats, which is a little futile as 1. You’re not that great, 2. We are Sunderland fans.
Well that's your opinion (Carrick), I'd say he has confidence in his players and how he wants the game played and he believes it'll 'come good', which in fairness he's not that far away imo.Bealex reputation precedes him. And I think on the whole we were proved right. He was a bad fit for the club. No one knew anything about Le Bris but we give bine a chance from the off. Yes, of course it’s easy to say tvat after a great start and lose a couple and there will be a minority who moan. But he’s got credit in the bank.
Something just not right about Carrivk though, a certain arrogance maybe….
