Boro thread

Theirs and the mags catchment areas are huge in terms of what is around them. Aye the scum compete with us in the Durham and south Tyneside areas. But north of Newcastle they have nowt til Berwick- and west nowt til Carlisle. The mags that is.
Boro have miles and miles south. And a big gap upto us. Hartlepool dint it a bit as well.
Mags catchment area is unrivalled in football. No pro clubs north till Edinburgh, no clubs west till Carlisle, big population directly to the east and even to the south they are more or less equidistant to Sunderland to most conurbations within much better transport links in a lot of cases. They is only really us to the south east.
We have a decent catchment area except for that git big puddle directly to our east.
Boro lose out because they have us and Pools to the North and a national park to the south. We have umpteen pit towns south of us however except for coastal towns Boros south pretty much stops at Nunthorpe

Christ I've just seen that. I've been on this forum for longer and I have nearly 90 thousand less posts! And my missis thinks I spend my life on here. If I'd been on here as much as Hettonlass my missis could have packed her bags and fucked off years ago and I would still be none the wiser
Has to be more than one of them

It’s bizarre, I’ve had a login since 2014 and I’m 85k behind.

We should embrace the Boro rivalry

Return it to its level of years ago

The Midtable Mags are on a different planet

They don't want it having exchanged their history and tradition for being extensions of the Saudi state

Neither should we

Teesside is practically one place, it's an urban conurbation of around 400k
Middlesbrough happens to be the town slap bang in the middle, so over history it attracted supporters from all over Teesside.

Teesside is a place very much like Stoke that it's made up of medium sized towns.
It should really have been a city in itself but due to political boundaries (Labour stronghold) you get more bang come elections if they stay separate.
You can cross a street and be in Redcar or Stockton when you live in Middlesbrough.

It's one of the most impoverished places in Britain with the highest season tickets and walk up prices, Steve Gibson man of the people.
