Boro thread

Didn't realise you had two sent off.
In the same fixture last season, we (wrongly imo) had a player sent off and a penalty given against us whilst the score was 0-0.
Similar thing happen to you yesterday .
Surely there should be some sort of plan in place , in case anything goes wrong (sending off, injury etc).

There's players getting sent off most weekends, it doesn't always drastically affect the outcome of matches - it's up to managers etc to cope with the situation.
I thought Mowbrays tactics were poor but the cheating of the referee fundamentally changed the game.

I don’t mind getting beat, we are SAFC we are used to it, but the referee spiked a good game of football yesterday.

If you want to crow on about that win fair enough but the referee at best is incompetent at worst a cheat.

This. Yes Mowbrays tactics and decisions were poor but the reason we were so bad is the inexperience of our team. They got riled with the ref and how he let boro bully and rile them.
if we had someone with more experience like Dack or Pritchard on the pitch to level the kids heads out a bit we’d have been much more positive. We just capitulated once they’d scored.

I'm not crowing on mate, far from it.
Just making the point - whether the ref cheated or not (i personally can't see it), surely it's down to your coaching staff to rearrange the formation etc accordingly.

On the subject of getting beat - you can't be anywhere near used to being 'let down' as what our fans are.

Being completely.honest.- the way your side has been playing lately I fully expected you to win yesterday.

County Durham and wearside is like 800k for one club Cleveland is 700k for 3 500k for us 800k for you. That’s why. Is what is 26,000 for the championship is a decent gate, Sunderland are a bigger club than us who are a medium sized club but it’s not at all relevant to todays result is it
Eh

Look, if you're just going to make shit up, fuck off back to your Voro echo chamber. Neil never ran, he walked up the pitch. You lot and every single person in the stadium and watching on TV must have been like, what the fuck happened there?

How come it is extremely rare, except for this clown shoe of a ref's other games, that you don't see decisions like this, do you think?
How am i making stuff up - the referee viewed it exactly the same way, hence Dan Neil receiving a second yellow. It’s not the refs fault your player was stupid enough to think he’d get away with it when he was already walking a fine line. The new rules have been made very clear to everyone, and had it been a Boro player that got sent off in similar circumstances you wouldn’t have a word to say about it. Football fans are generally all the same in these circumstances i.e. their own player(s) is totally innocent, the referee is biased and a complete bastard, and all the opposition players are hatchet men who should have received 8 bookings and 2 sendings off - funny that isn’t it, no one ever complains when the ref sends off an opponents player but as soon as he sends off one your own it’s a different story. You lost the game, I’m sure you’ll get over it 😁

Hang on a minute your player should have got a straight red for a ridiculous studs up lunge, then gets himself sent off for running up to and swearing at the ref which has been made clear is an instant yellow this season, what else could the ref do, overlook the law change ? I didn’t see any of you lot complaining last season when Fry got a red for a pretty debatable 50/50 challenge which started outside the box and ended up a red and a penalty. Your player got what he deserved in the end because he definitely got away with the first incident
Swearing at the ref? So why is it every week we see players on live games on the TV openly telling the referee to fuck off and nothing happens?

Cleveland Teesside is 700k Sunderland and County Durham is like 900k. Obviously we should have a load from North Yorkshire as we are effectively the only team in Teesside and north York’s but it’s complicated most support Leeds. Football fanatism in Newcastle and Sunderland has always been stronger than Teesside sadly

Are you still crying over that red card in January?

I agree you do see players often mouthing things at refs from where they’re stood, and they often get away with it, but the new ruling clearly says players approaching a referee from a distance using dissent will receive an automatic yellow card. It was the fact that Dan Neil went some distance to approach the ref and mouth off that got him the yellow - scroll down to the section on dissent below to check the new rules guidelines for referees

Be careful, he will accuse you of bullying him. He likes to dish it out, give him it back and you’re bullying him 😳
I don't 'dish it out' though do I ?
A bit of 'banter' as you put it, is fine.
I just thought with your constant picky remarks, you were going a bit over the top, that's all.

Not as much as you lot and the conspiracy theories about yesterday though

He wasn’t using dissent though he just said it was a f***ing free kick. If he had of called the ref a f***ing joke I could have understood it.

When you see players getting away with actually abusing the officials and nothing happening, yesterday was a complete piss take from a referee that wanted to be right in the limelight.
