You always had too much to go down. Barring the Sheff Wed game the xG stuff was way off for what the results were versus the chances etc you had in games, QPR being a case in point. Begovic had a good game coupled with some poor finishing and then their lad piling in the goal of his life from 30yds out.
 
Watched the full game and Boro deserved to win nowt special mind ,but Southampton are absolutely woeful at the back and Remind me of us when we first came down from prem going to be a hard season for them

Best strike you'll see this season that imo, don't think the same lad even had a touch of the ball against us

Never know we could still meet at Wembley nah I doubt we will actually do anything of note sadly
 
I guess I have the attitude of some of my generation being 60 so I’m not that fussed about them (unless we’re playing the two headed b….) and happy to do the NE thing*. So I’ll say I had the pleasure, not the misfortune, to be at a loose end and with a couple of Boro mates watching them today.

Sorry to report to those that do obsess about them that they looked half decent and will be mid table at worst imv. It would have been more comfortable if they had a half decent finisher. Agree with those who thought Jones could have had a second yellow though. He’s deffo getting a first for that. But most refs bottle the red there.

* - with anyone but them up the road obviously, although even that was almost acceptable before John bloody Hall.
