I don't think he's done anything wrong . He gave us 100% last season in an attempt to get into the Liverpool side. Rodgers has now pushed him out the door. The lad thinks he's better than a Premier League makeweight.

wont blame him as i think his lass will make the decision for him, i dont think she moved up here with him when he was on loan and had we been a london based club we would never have boarded the flight to usa with liverpool.

I'd be disappointed about this particular deal but looking at the larger picture i'd just be depressed about the state of the game as a whole. This two tier system where the gap between teams that have a chance of champions league football and the teams that don't just gets bigger and bigger every year. It's got to the point where a champions league club in a tin pot league like Holland or Portugal can attract better players than a mid table premier league team.
The FFP rules have been brought in just to shore up the two tiers and make sure no more clubs can realistically break into the upper tier.
The whole basic problem with the game is that the power is in the hands of the big clubs and not the footballing authorities, in actual fact the big clubs are the footballing authorities by all but name.
