Borini

He's a decent enough striker and has a habit of scoring against us. 14m is a lot of money though for a 7-8 goal a season striker
Would think its a huge chunk of your budget too where other areas of the pitch needs serious addressing.
Looks like you will utilise the loan system again to pad out and just repeat the circle
We will use the loan system, too much to do not to.
Borini was more than a scorer for us though, much more. Took him until November to get in the team and got 10 goals overall. I fully expect him over a full season to get 12-15 goals. That makes him worth the money.

Agreed, he's a good player and he will improve Sunderland no doubt (who's great at penalties) but for that price you'd want a guaranteed 10-15 goals per season or a special talent who can do something out of nothing.

I then it's quite similar to our Livermore deal where the selling club know you desperately want him but don't have to sell.
He's not playing as a striker for us, so he doesn't need to score 15 goals.
14m is a lot, but for an already fan favourite and with the current insane fees it's a decent deal.

The 23-year-old becomes the second Liverpool striker to depart the club this month, following Luis Suarez.

That sounds pretty definitive. It sounds like the personal terms are expected to be a formality.

I think its a done deal like mate. We will defo agree terms with him, he seems desperate to get back here

Great news if true. Get a couple more over the line and we can really start to look forward to the new season.

Only 17 players got double figures last season in the league. Of them 17,Benteke cost about 7 mil , Ramsey was bought as a young lad by Arsenal, Lambert was bought by Southampton back in League 1 and they also paid about 7 mil for Rodriguez, Sturridge cost about 8 mil but had already been to City and Chelsea and maybes was seen as thinking he was better than he actually was. Don't know how much QPR initially paid for Remy, so 5 maybes 6 players got that goal return for less than that. Not sure anyone else on the list would be available for 12-14 mil.

Hope so. He just seemed to 'fit' here last season and you can tell all he wants to do is play and be an important player.

Will be idolized if he does sign and builds on an already great start in red and white.
