Expect this to be ignored because it doesn't fit the negative agenda of most on here.
Andy Carroll has ended his Liverpool nightmare after West Ham confirmed they had signed the England striker on a permanent basis.

The deal to bring the 24-year-old to Upton Park on a permanent basis could cost the east London club up to £48.5m.

Carroll underwent a medical last night after flying back from holiday in the United States with chairman David Gold revealing he had passed.

Not being a doom monger just wanting to point out that Carroll didn't jet off with the Liverpool squad

So he was on holiday and not on tour.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Seems like the whole thread is a load of shite then, not just the moaning bastards.

Fabio might've said to his agent you talk to Sunderland in the mean time I'll do what I'm paid to do ... Who wouldn't want a few days in the US ;)

Not many, if any PL footballers these days negotiate their own contract. The agent will be the one carrying out negotiations and Borini will be maintaining his fitness with the Liverpool first team squad in the States.
Not a good negotiating ploy to hang about in this country twiddling your thumbs while the agent gets the best deal he can.
The worry is it's SAFC and we shouldn't even be putting in bids of this magnitude unless we've been given some encouragement.

It's not like he can't fly home once the agents have sorted terms. What do people expect the lad to do. After all he is still a Liverpool player.

Ben Davies is set to have a medical at Tottenham after leaving Swansea's pre-season tour.

And according to the BBC, Davies has departed pre-season tour of the United States, in order to undergo a medical.

Why did Swansea bother taking him away with them ?

I still think he's left things to his agent and will fly back next week to sign

I'm not sure why people are trying to paint this as nothing to worry about or normal behaviour.
Can't see how him playing yesterday and flying out to America is anything other than a negative for us.
That's not to say he won't sign he may very well but it doesn't make this usual or positive.

I'm fed up of this now, can't we just wait for him to either sign or confirmation that he doesn't?

Now if he doesn't want to come, surely he'd still respect us enough to tell us so rather than waste our time?

Yes mods stick this in the Borini thread just wanted to show my frustration at the constant whining about It costing us 14m!! It's 10.5 plus add ons. In other words we pay the extra should he succeed. If you don't think that's worth it then you are brain dead!!!
