I know many Sunderland supporters love Borini and from that standpoint it would be a let down but honestly I think Sunderland will have dodged a (financial) bullet in the end. It's the clubs money and everything (not truly a fans concern) but 14 million for Borini would be bad business.

no point chasing a player that doesn't want to come. he is still young and if he takes a chance he could be playing in champions league football and going for the title . unless rogers tries to force him out of course

Thats an interesting article that, puts a different slant on things, what concerns me now is that we have gone public with it and clubs will know we have £14m sloshing about for one player, which in turn suggests we have loot to spent in large quantities, i'm 50/50 after reading that, bleacher is a top site, usually spot on

Assuming the other forwards play well. Sturridge is going to miss Suarez and the space he creates massively. Borini is on a par with the rest of their goalscorers.
