Borini

Shame . He obviously doesn't want to come and won't be forced out of Liverpool . May as well look elsewhere if he doesn't even want todiscuss terms.
Surely it's his agent who will be discussing terms. Why would Borini need to be there in person?

Got a feeling people are overreacting here. He's a good player for sure but with the amount of expectation on him and the fact that he's not going to be in the shop window for bigger things means we're going to see diminishing returns I think. It's harder to put in performances like he did last season without the knowledge you can move on without complication either way and with the knowledge you are indisputably the key player.

He'll do well enough but I don't think he's going to score any more than last season, and if you remove pens he didn't get that many.
Exactly mate, everyone on here thinks he's garna score goals for fun. £14M for a player who scored 10 goals is abit over the top for me, there is no question he is a good player though. Think he only got 2 goals in 20 appearances for Liverpool we'll sharp know if we live to regret throwing £14M

Absolute amateur time as usual and now whoever we try and buy the figure will be inflated as they know we are desperate and gus has a huge war chest
I really don't think we have a huge war chest, this will/would of been our biggest signing. He's obviously not chomping at the bit though.

If Liverpool left him behind and let him sign before they've signed Remy then it gives Remys agent all the negotiating power.

Calm down dears, Fabio will be back before the weekend.

Well fee agreed
Therefore talks should ensue
But hes currently at 40,000 ft over the Atlantic
Id hazard a guess that Liverpool, after agreeing fee, made him available for talks, but hes decided no

We wont have bothered negotiating a fee if we knew he was just going to reject us.

he has said over and over again that he wants to stay at liverpool. he tried his arse of for us to try and get a starting place at liverpool. I genuinely don't think he wants to come and i don't think it would be a good idea spending 14mill on a player who might have zero drive to play for us if he does reluctantly move.

If he is playing hard to get he can fuck off. I can understand his wanting to make a go of it at liverpool but if he's not wanted there and he doesn't head straight back to us with a glad heart he can fuck off as a time serving, badge kissing crunt

It could be possible that Liverpool have just held him to his contractual obligations to them in going with them?

Whilst I have to admit I am rather disappointed with the way this in panning out. (I would much rather he was not risked playing for Liverpool if he is coming here) ... Contract talks could still well be happening this week. Fabio does not need showing around the training facilities or being told what the club is all about. The contract will be negotiated by his Agent ... If this proves succesful then I guess he will fly back for a medical. .... maybe I am clutching at straws but I think if the deal was 100% off then I think one of the clubs would come out and say so.
