Reading it back it was 4, my bad, still it was in reply to you saying he was mentioned on the motm thread, which Boris Johnson would have been proud of.
I'll make an assumption that you're an adult but I find this sort of obsessive behaviour strange. Do you write these things down? Do you know I have been positive about Gooch? Mate its really strange the way you go on.

Wright's heat map when playing suggests he was playing right back

Can you share that, and Gooch & Dajaku's aswell?

It was an asymmetric formation, I'll grant you, but Dajaku was slotting in on the right when out of possession.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, when we did play a back 4, we struggled to get forward down the left in particular.

I’m amazed people think we signed a 19 year old from the Nothern Irish league and expect that he’d be thrown straight into the team.

Pritchard must not be 100% as he'd start ahead of Embleton every time imo.
Embleton is in excellent form and there would be no justification for leaving him out.

However, I think that Johnson sees both players being able to complement one another in the very old-fashioned (1950s/60s) style of an inside-right and inside-left

Need to keep Afolayan quiet for them. Thought he was the best player we've played against earlier in the season at the SOL.

Your positivity fails to acknowledge that the lad has failed to improve season on season
I'm talking about the way you go on. You actually went back to a thread from last week and counted the number of mentions that Gooch got. How can you be so bothered that other people might like someone you don't? It really is quite strange. But fair enough lets just concentrate on the match and accept we all have different opinions.

The problem isnt / wasnt gooch. It was the lack of quality recruitment year on year. All of a sudden a couple of transfer windows and theres competition for his place in the team.

He'll be a useful sub when the talented players start playing

To be fair, in this instance, the better players in this instance are players they have never seen play.
So people haven't seen Roberts play now? Luckily the direction we are travelling players as limited as Gooch will feature less and less for us. Nothing against him he's a decent enough player for this level, but we don't want to be at this level. Injuries have ensured he's had plenty games this season.
