Well half the world play it of course, including many of the highest ranked richest teams with the pulling power for all the most impressive players.

3 out and out centre halfs is difference from what alot of elite clubs use it for.

Its limiting to the attacking intent of the team.

Early in the season, Flanagan covered for Doyle an awful lot. He's had a poor few weeks but I wouldn't blame him for the reason a back 4 hasn't worked. There have been a number of reasons, including a lack of genuine full-backs, we've had stopgaps there an awful lot. Doyle isn't the most natural defender in the world and sometimes has a tendency to dive in unnecessarily. Also, with Winchester at RB, Evans is the only DM we have and he's had a lot of injuries. And then Flanagan went into a period of poor form.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Flanagan has been carrying an injury. He had been so good for most of this season, then just started having air-kicks half the time. Definitely a sign of a groin problem.

Nice 3 at back but Flange been carrying knocks and needs a rest . Hopefully Winch over his. Also hope Pritchard not needed so can recover.

You actually counted the MOTM thread to see how many mentions Gooch got. That is not hate its just tragic obsession. Social media is a weird and wonderful place. He actually counted the number of mentions of Gooch..........
Reading it back it was 4, my bad, still it was in reply to you saying he was mentioned on the motm thread, which Boris Johnson would have been proud of.

Yeah, we don't know, could be confidence for some reason. All I know is that up until a month ago or so, he was probably up there as one of our top few performers this season and then he had a couple of disasters in a row.

Probably not helped by Cirkin, who is an orthodox fullback playing the more fluid wingback gig, tho, of course?

This is a good point tbf. Cirkin is a good player but clearly not a natural wing-back. His starting position was much too deep for a wing-back, and led to us being pinned back.

It'll probably take a while to work out our best fit when we have everyone available.
